photoblog image Bank of ghosts

Bank of ghosts

The Bank of England... as never seen before! Well the back of the Bank of England anyway! I shot this while walking to Monument station with a friend of mine one evening. The orginal color image didnt do much for me so i converted it to black and white.  Then i though some color popping may go down well.. So.. here you have the final, albeit ghostly image.. complete with a couple of ghosts on the bottom left!

Technical bits and bobs..

This was shot from a standing position with the camera in hand as i didnt have a tripod. it was relatively dark at the time, the only available light was artificial and came from cars, shop windows and most of all, street lamps. needless to say all this light was of varying temperatures and colored the original image to no end hence the decision to black and white it. Camera was set to AV mode at f/2.8 with ISO 400 on a Sigma 24-70mm Lens.

I intend on recreating the same image but shot with a tripod next time so hopefully it will be a lopt sharper.

Loving the atmospher of this shot. It feels like something you would see in a 'Mummy' movie or something. It looks almost CGI.

Keep up the good work.
